Title: [Resolved] animated or path follower parented mesh loosing collision
Post by: Seryse on Dec 03, 12, 04:06:10 AM
Hello  :)
I have a problem and i didnt find the answear anywhere.
I'm trying to create elevator platforms to enter some of my estates that are in trees. But when the platform is animated (3ds loop or HE path follower parent) it looses the collision and the avatar just fall thew the mesh.... I bet it's gonna need some scripting maybe to create a link between the ava, the mesh and the path?

Yes, scripting is required to update the physics and to move the object up and down in a loop :)

I wouldn't specifically call it a "scripting problem", but more of a "thing to script" :)

Don't forget to set the physics to Dynamic and not Static! Else there is some major lag coming your way! [Properties of the object].

You would want to set an object that was being moved by script to "Kinetic". Just a side note.
