Title: Single Track Animations
Post by: GM_James on Mar 18, 13, 03:54:40 PM
We finally got our Male Character exported. All of it's basic Animations are on a single track:

idle:
0-400

walk:
401-435

run:
436-459

I am now setting up all of the Animation files and I'm lost as to how to specify the time for the idle, walk, and run in the files so it doesn't just loop through the whole track but just plays the steps for the correct animation. Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks!

The animation system does not function that way.  As I mentioned before and is discussed in the wiki, each animation must be exported separately into an hgm file.

The animation export only includes the frames visible on the timeline.  If my walk cycle is from frame 10 to frame 40, I would set the timeline to start at 10, end at 40, and then export just that walk cycle to an hgm file called walk.hgm.

If you're having a hard time understanding how the character system works, it might help to look at the files in \Character\Character_Sample\...  located in the repository browser.
