Thanks guys, I did look at Algonquin already and it seemed interesting...  also one at Trios college in that was pricey but looked very complete.

That sounds fun Big Dog,

I've been looking around for some time for a good course in the Toronto Area. I have inquired at several I found but they seem to be graduate programs designed for kids coming out of school rather than us old-folks hobbyists turned semi-pros. (they are not cheap either!!!)

Ideally I would be interested a continuing education style course on 3ds max or general game design, if anyone maybe has heard of such a course available I would be really happy if you could forward me the info.

thanks!

Looks super Jim, like the normal mapped stone/brick texture on the left side.

Hey Jim, well I thought it was pretty close to "Oblivion" , but I do like the name "Oblivia"  of course we know that names change etc.. its funny how the first name picked for a development can really set the overall tone, and is much better than plain old 'working title'  :D

Yeah nice survey! answered as best I could without knowing much of the backstory.  That's really a good idea to help decide where to focus.

With the name Oblivia do you think there's some potential trademark or copyright issues ?

Hi Folks! great to see lots of other new teams also think HE is cool, we are just getting started with Hero Engine and really impressed so far.  I represent a small talented group of scripters, artists designers for the indie company gridrock.com.

We have worked with several engines and platforms from Unity, to Blue mars (cryengine) to Second life with varying success, and are now really hyped to get our HE project off the ground.

Hope to get to know you people better and share information here as our project moves along.
