Developer Hero Projects / Vengeance Online

Figured I may as well post here for my updates, instead of constantly posting in the recruitment section, so, let me get some of the basics here :)
Vengeance      Online
Planning Sheet:


I. Main storyline.
   Many kingdoms of Bironia have shattered at the might of the two major factions. These factions are each unique in fighting styles, with similar government, but, completely different people. The story of the Savaryan tribe begins on the eastern edge of Bironia, where their future king started a revolution against the Lokryonians. He destroyed the faction, leaving its people and cities in his command. Meanwhile the future Queen of Kinslavia is recruiting mercenaries. She is going to fight with the country of Basington in the war of Miclonia. Towards the end of the battle, the king is shot in the chest.
       The queen saved the king, in turn, the king decided to give her a piece of land to start her own country, as this is what she most desired. This brought up the two greatest leaders known as Julia Kinslavia, and Joseph Livingston. The war between them will decide all of our futures, who will you fight for?

II. Weapons.
   Muskets, swords, pistols, daggers, pikes, spears, bows, crossbows, cannons (deploy and un-deploying as well as re-loading takes time, which balances it out.).
     No, their will be no magic!

III. Factions.

   You will be able to play under the flags of the two major factions, there are a few other factions, but you mainly come across them in quests. The playable factions are:

Kinslavia.
Savarya.

Iv. Release Date.  
Unknown, but hopefully some time in 2013.
I do hope to have a beta in late 2012 though.

V. Levels
So far, the plan is Level 1 - 50.

VI. Faction Colors
Savarya - Red
Kinslavia - Green

So, their will be NO magic as you read, which I find interesting, as it opens and closes many opportunities for game play. Such as hack and slash combat, which is what I would like to have. I would like to set up a really good inventory system, as it is probably the most important part of the game for the way I want to set it up. Pretty much, if you have any ranged weapon, so a crossbow, you can right click to zoom in your weapon. When a ranged weapon is equipped, and you are zoomed in, a cross hair pops up so you can aim, and when you hold the left mouse button, a cross hair will fade in, and when you release you shoot. To reload you will simple press the reload key, which will be "r". With melee weapons, it will be different, you can't zoom in, and no cross hairs magically pop up. Melee may sound under powered, but, when it takes 3-4 shots to kill another player, and the one of the 2 melee classes can stealth, and the other is a tank with mass amounts of health, therefore taking 5 and depending on armor 6 shots to kill. It should be fair. So, the classes now. Their will be 2 ranged and two melee.

Knight - melee tank, takes and much damage, and helps his group survive.  
Thief - goes into a stealth mode and kills his enemies from any direction he'd like, though they must be cautious, as all thieves can see each other.

Musketeer - A long ranged killer, dedicated to his shots, and has a very strong aura, though be warned, a musketeer's armor is very weak, leaving him vulnerable.

 The Mercenary - A mercenary wields both short swords and pistols, and if he chooses so, a musket, he does very much damage, but similar to the musketeer, his armor is weak, leaving him vulnerable.

Now, I can't make all this alone now can I? Yes, you guessed correctly   I cannot! So, can anyone fill these spots?

      Positions that need filling:
         Hsl Scripter
         Organic modeler
         Concept artist
         Prop / building modeler.
         Animator
         World builders, who will work with me directly.
         And texture designers.

Game Dev and Gaming / Would anyone want to teach me HSL for 15$?

I am willing to pay 15$ to anyone who will teach me HSL, I always wanted to learn scripting, and I just cant get through the books. I would like to learn by someone either talking to me through a mic, or typing to me through skype. I have no other knowledge of scripting, but, I am a quick learner. I just need to know how to make basic scripts, I should be able to teach myself the rest, by the time we are done, I would like to be able to code up lets say a character controller or npc ai script. Hi everyone, I am the leader of Battlelegion, we are not an official company, so I don't want to call myself the owner or CEO. Anyways, I am here to talk about Vengeance online. Here is the planning sheet I made. Still working on it, but it allows me to base some ideas off of it. So, here it is.

How can I solve an issue like that of the title. Here is the situation, I made a model for a barbarian kind of village, and then I made a nice library to go in the village as well. They are in two different folders, under one main folder, which is named after the zone. So, the textures / materials are getting mixed together, the library is using the materials used for the barbarian house, how can I solve this?

Art & Art Pipeline / [Resolved] Texture Importing

I am trying to import two grass textures to the repository. I have repeated the process several times now. I import the textures to Engine\CleanGame\TerrainMaps\Textures\Grass      The Textures and grass folders a custom so I know where to find my own textures. The problem is, they don't show in Heroblade, they are .dds. Any problem with this, should I be putting them somewhere else?

Developer Introductions / Battlelegion Entertainment

Hey guys, I am the leader of Battlelegion Entertainment, I thankfully got HeroCloud, and now I am introducing myself and my team. So basically, we are developing a game called Conforium, which I will get into further details about later in the post, and I assigned some members of our team to a game called Block Defense which is a tower defense in first person / 3rd person. Here is the team members / team list.

        Anyways, lets get back to Conforium.  This is the games story "The world capital of Conforium is threatened when its own king makes a risky move. King Rion ruler of the of the kingdom of Conforium, sends out every laborer to deplete nature of all resources it has. The sudden destruction of all things naturally awakens Mother Nature, and the mystical beings arise to protect the natural world from the threat posed by King Rion. Meanwhile, barbarian villages are already stirring up a civil war in aid of mother Nature. Many humans leave to join nature in its quest to restore the world of its natural beauty.


           The king has demanded a state of emergency, at this very moment the army is being assembled, to defend and also destroy any who oppose the kingdom of Conforium."
 
     The release of it is still unknown, and will remain so for a while. The gameplay is rather simple, but will bring back some Dark age of Camelot type of features, with the help of my brother Zach, who is a 10 year player, we will get the pvp just right, as that and Omuni Online inspired this game.
