You can get the character data by QueryAssociation, the type of assoc. is "AccountChracterAssociation". It will return all characters associated with the account and after that, all you need to do is pretty much cycle through the associations.

If you want to see an example, you can look at the code for that in HJREF world in HJ_CharacterSelectionClassMethods (server). The method where it gets done is HE_CSSMarshalCharacterData. The data is then parsed in the HJ_CharacterSelectionGUIClassMethods (client) in the receiveCharacters function.

your code would be most appreciated, I am not sure where to write the function either. I attempted to code it in both server side; Input_Movement and client side; E_ACCControllerClassMethods, both giving the same error; Node variable does not specify a class that contains the field E_fatiguePoints. (my mana variable's name)

I might have time to take a look at it during the weekend. Right now I'm very busy with some work for a client and I haven't really done much in HE during last 6 months, but I'll try to provide you with some code. :)

You can make a simple boolean to check whether the character is running or not. If it's running, subtract 10, if not, nothing happens. And after you subtract 10, check if mana is 0, if yes, set boolean for running to false.

I can provide you with some code later, but I'm not at my development machine right now.

I agree as well ... everyone in the forums needs models for HeroEngine, so if you supplied them in HeroEngine format, it would be really helpful for many ;)

Btw ... the gargoyle looks pretty cool :)

I highly doubt that textures provided with HeroEngine could cover all needs for a decent MMORPG ... you just have a few assets, so the range of textures isn't all that great.

So I'd suggest you to start creating your textures even during development ... that was one of the first things I did ... create textures for various types of terrain so I can see how everything looks like when I place my 3d art into the world.

But if you're focusing on mechanics first and have a concept you want to try out first before creating a bunch of art, just use the textures / assets provided for it ... but once you are releasing the game, you shouldn't be using them anymore ;)

You can write your own shaders. The next release will give you even more freedom and versatility with shaders.
