I want to make a fps. I wanted to use the code from the FPS reference world as a starting point. I can't figure out how to get the code from the reference world into my own world. How would I do that? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to look at the fps reference files but I can't seem to find any. I use the repository blade and select the fps reference world. I see a directory list of files but that is it. There are no files in the folders. I downloaded the folders anyway and they all have a placeholder.txt file in them. How do I get the fps reference files?

Art & Art Pipeline / Tips needed for sea foam particle effect

I made a particle effect for sea foam. I used a cloud and some random values to make it look good. However it isn't that great. Anyone have some suggestions to make a natural looking sea foam? Should I use a smaller particle and use more of them or use less particles but bigger? What would be the best image to use for the particle. Thanks in advance.

I am using a static emitter. Something went haywire and I lost my textures on the particles. I tried cloning them to no avail. I deleted them and made new ones. The new ones now show up in both areas just as I would assume they should. I have no idea what happened and I followed the same setup both times. But they are now working. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Is there a recommended number of areas that should be connected? I could break it into a few chunks for development Then connect them again once we get to alpha.

Just see it over the line. it is right on the line between 2 linked areas.

I have a particle emitter in one area and I want to be able to see the particles in a second area. Is there a way to do this or do I have to make another emitter in the 2nd area? Thanks.

I started testing my packets. I get great responses from all over except from Virginia and West Virginia area. Go figure.

I now cannot get to the character load screen on Electric Crow's server. Other people can but I cannot. I can go into my own server Gt2cor and all the ref servers, with no problems. They are all located on east 21. For some strange reason I just can't get into Electric Crow. I noticed yesterday, all day. Still today. I even re installed hero blade but that didn't help. I tried logging in with the hero client and I cannot log in with that either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sometimes I have no problems and can work for hours on end. Other times I get disconnected 3-4 time per hour. Is there anything I can do to improve this? Is there ports I should open on my router?

Is it possible to move the gizmo so I can have it on an edge instead of the middle? It would greatly help me be more precise. Thanks.

For some reason I can't get the area offset to line up on the Y axis. I use snaps and get it perfect on X and Z but not Y. I tried turning snaps down to .001. I tried holding ctrl down while on the gizmo. I get it very close but not exact. It seems to be a half a unit too high. Then when I move it down the slightest bit, it is a half a unit too low. I am now linking my 5 fifth area together and it happens on every single one. Any thoughts? Is there a way to type in the area Y value to get it exact?
