General Discussion / [RESOLVED] Single player instances
« on: Feb 26, 12, 10:05:03 AM »
I have a single player fps in mind and I'm thinking about using herocloud for it. Yes, I know it's a mmo engine. I'm even building a mmo with it right now. But what about single player? I've figured out I would have to use instances for each player, but I'm wondering about server load. What happenes when I have 10,000 people on at once, each in their own instance? I want to do multiplayer co-op too, say 4 player's. I would assume all I would have to do is get 4 players in a single instance for this to happen? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Indeed it was.  :'(

I had a lot of great ideas in that chair. It was a gift from my wife way back when we were dating, nearly a decade ago. It will be sorely missed.

I shall have to train the memory foam of my new one, it feels like a brick. Lots of long days ahead though, I'll whip it in shape.

Good thing I have a video game to make. The new one will probably be wore out by the time I'm done.  :-\

My chair, my glorious chair!

My thinker, my comfortable sitting place.

You have supported me when no one else would.

Through good times and bad we have been together.

How hard I must have been on you around the Holidays!

But you were always so soft.

Today you have given your last plea of mercy.

The years we have spent together were marvelous, I will never forget them.

Today you have broken.

I'm sorry, I cannot fix you.

I tried.

I'm putting the band-aids away now.

I will miss you.

Goodbye my chair.

Developer Introductions / Walvin Media
« on: Nov 09, 11, 09:59:45 AM »
Hello everyone! I'm Kevin, CEO of Walvin Media Group, LLC. I thought it was time for me/us to drop in and say hey.

Walvin Media is a marketing and production company based in the USA and we're spinning off a bit and working on our first video game (for now codenamed Project Rockwell).

Fate landed us here at HeroEngine. Getting into the game development industry wasn't part of our long term goals. I had decided to look into it on my own spare time because I've always wanted to build a video game and a lucky sort of events introduced us to Mr. Cooper Buckingham, and eventually our license with HeroEngine. We couldn't be happier.

We spent some time nailing down our first game idea (we've had several...the best ones will be future games we hope!) and now we are ready to test the waters! I look forward to being a part of your community and hopefully we can be of great help to each other throughout this project.
