Hello there,
First, allow me to apologize for posting here. I don't see the option in my account to start a new post, so I am asking my question here by quoting, where it is at least partly applicable.
I have been using speedtree and moving the models to my heroblade. I have noticed that in speedtree the application of light seems to be what is used to alter the appearance of the tree. Altering the colors on speedtree does not seem to change the colors when I import them to heroblade. I am aware that you can change the shading of the leaves on the speedtree in the engine, but honestly the appearance is nowhere near the same, so I was wondering if it was possible to import the color changes on the leaves from speedtree.
Second, I have had no problem getting the wind to affect the speedtrees at the branch level, but I was wondering if it was possible to have it work at the leaf level. I am aware this may not be the best option for areas with large numbers of trees, but it is something I may want to make use of in limited amounts.
Thank you in advance for the help!
Like I said above, there are benefits to speedtree, but it would also depend on how you setup each option. A simple test is to export a couple of things in each option. Place a hundred in one zone of type A, use the swap out to place the same ones in type B, observe results.
