My guess is that it was a free world that you got via promotion? If so then you'd have lost it due to inactivity.

If it was a yearly subscription one, then you'll just need to re-purchase as it sounds unlikely that you bought the lifetime subscription.

He's only wanting to move characters together to a new area and instance, so he doesn't really need a system area for that. All he needs is the area and instance ID to move them to (easy to do), and then to get both characters to move via $TRAVEL (code already there to do it). A system area would be overkill for such a simple task.

Ah, because the "areas" are different servers, they wouldn't have the same information stored on them, so you'd not be able to get a pointer (NodeRef) to the other from there.

Have a look at the $TRAVEL system node, you could also extend that system node for any extra functionality that you would like.

What is it that you're trying to accomplish with this?

function WhereIsPlayer(character as id, area references id, instance references id) as boolean
Returns false if they're not online, populates the variables passed (as they're references) with the location.

function FindPlayerByName(findName as string) as id
Gets the root node id of a player by their current character name. Only sees the players online at the area server level, or all players at the world server level.

Your question is a little bit on the vague side, so it's been a bit hard to actually answer to what you're wanting.

General Discussion / Re: New DOM Suggestions (Quartz.d)

One thing that I liked about the previous update, was that the DOM editors were separate windows, and not a panel within the main Blade window. I feel like it was a step backwards changing it back to how it is now as it just gets in the way. So yes, I would absolutely love having the option to open those editors back within their own windows, I can't tell you how much I miss that already.

Uninstall and then reinstall.

This has been noted under "issues being investigated", though it has been an extremely long time without a single HE dev post regarding it.

Scott has done a lot of testing with this, and also offered some decent feedback with it, it'd be nice to hear from some of the HE devs regarding this foundation framework, and especially these noted issues.

Any news with this, HE devs? :)

I've been examining the gui with the ctrl+shift+t analyser as well and I also noticed that the visible property is getting changed to false when the cell height changes, and changing the properties inside that tool makes the scroll bar appear for a split second and disappear again, with its property reverted back to hidden. Though I haven't managed to track down the source of that within the engine scripts.

Hopefully one of the HE devs will notice this thread and experiment with it a little to track down if this is indeed a bug, or offer some advise to fix it on our end if it's possible as I changing the window size doesn't seem to have any affect on my control.

The visible flag is indeed set to true and the gui is created upon being opened each time.

When I create the new cell, I do create it from a prototype as well, although this does actually have the correct height already which doesn't do anything for the actual sortable selection. The issue isn't the cell content, but the cell itself. It's not expanding to fit the contents when they are added and manually setting the height of the actual cell (not the content, because the content is fine and already at the correct height, just clipped off due to the cell) causes the scrollbar to vanish, and it doesn't return even when you add enough rows to make the scrollbar required to view all of the data.

I hope that clears it up a bit more for you.

General Discussion / Scrollbar issue when resizing a cell
« on: May 07, 15, 06:01:05 PM »
I've created a sortablecollection with a scrollbar, I have the header predefined in the gui so it's not created via HSL. I've noticed that when doing this the cell height defaults to 20, if I create the header via HSL then it resizes the cell to what the correct height should be for my content however I lose the scrollbar.

So, I attempted to get around this, and I called _recalculateAllCollectionRowsHeight() on the GUI, this resized the cells to the correct height but again caused the scrollbar to vanish. So finally I attempted manually setting the cell height just incase something under the hood was being called that I had not yet noticed, I did this via:

Code: [Select]
ClientArea as NodeRef of Class GUIControl = FindGUIcontrolByName( me, "Container.sortableCollection.clientarea" )
   foreach Child in ClientArea.children
      child.size.y = 28

Again, the cells height changed to what I wanted it to be and again, the scrollbar vanishes.

I'm stumped and about finished for the night, so I figured best to post this on here and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction when I return in the morning before work, or note if in the unlikely event that this is a bug.

Thanks in advance!

It's missing the 'r' from property.

Edit: The editor isn't complete with the variable types, so the control that it creates is read-only if the list contains no data.

General Discussion / Re: any chance we get more frameworks?

At one point there was a roadmap on the wiki that said they had several planned, unsure if they've scrapped them or if they're still planning on doing them though.

Another planned update might be interested in was seamless 3.0 (mentioned on the same page). Though I can't find any references to these on there any more.
