I guess Father's Day is gonna be a day from now on for me to ask forgiveness. My dad wanted to motivate me to be a better man because the person I was did not live up to his standards. I failed. He left my mom, divorced her, besmirched her to my elder siblings, and lied. Then he died.

For many years I blamed him for my illness. I have been fighting to find my own niche... to be myself. I am not my father's son. I have an older brother to fill that role. I'm just a guy with issues. I don't pretend my shit is more serious than others or that I am more important. So, hey, dad, I forgive you. Can your ghost forgive me?

One of these days I'm gonna have my own legacy. Maybe not a child.  But something worth more. “God's will, not ours be done!”

About ten years ago, there were programs called “Rainbow House” and “The Barn” which fell under the category as “Pscyh-Social Rehab” facilities. People were taught skills such as how to cook in the kitchen unit, how to clean in maintenance, and how to do computer & office work in clerical.

Groups were held after lunch were served. It was something to do during the day. We also got together with out supervising staff to come up with goal plans. It helped us plan to improve ourselves. It gave us purpose.

On the other hand such facilities as CareerLInk are a waste. If you have access to a computer to do online web searches, you could access the CareerLink website remotely and make the office irrelevant.
There was no other benefit to this program.

Such services as Office of Rehabilitation (OVR) and Goodwill take a paper trail to get in and they insist upon a case manager or other professional to refer the client and that can take months as the case managers are swamped with clients and they rarely get the paperwork done quickly enough for each client seeking work. So we have to fend for ourselves outside of the programs.

We need to increase the services budgets. Return the programs that did work for us.

Instead of cutting benefits to punish those languishing who WANT to work but do not know what their marketable skills are. And the trend of putting job applications online alienates more than it helps.

Don't companies benefit from tax cuts for hiring the disabled? So why do  they discriminate still????

“La Damar de Terre Infernale” {“Destruction of Hellish Earth”) is seeking volunteers: artists & writers for pre-production efforts then later on CGI model makers, and programmers. This is an on-going Hero Engine project for a small MMO/ networked game on PC. Plans are very fluid at this point. Thinking of it being a sandbox/ virtual meeting place / “sim” world. Goal is the introduction of my “new” Intellectual Property to expand into multimedia formats. I have been writing books in this universe for 20 years and cannot go it alone any more. For now we can meet on Skype or on Discord. Contact me using via my handle “morfiction” on skype at first because I forget my Discord alias. Will crowdfund towards eventual release. This is a profit sharing opportunity.



In the future, the not too distant future from now, soldiers are created from test tubes and are not born. They are undistinquisable from actual human beings but since the world population has been so severely decimated that sending real people out to fight has become a prohibitive matter. Each clone is possessed from the transmutated soul of a dead soldier from past wars. Due to an imperfection of the system they are created from, many soldiers go rogue and lose so much humanity they become “zombies” having altered their own chemical make up somehow or augmented with bionics.

Now, as the true civilians huddle in fear in their homes, places of priveledge are taken over by the ones who were created to solve conflict....

What is the integration of "Granny3D"? In the past I played (long time ago) UO Third Age. It had .grn models in the game install folder. There was a third party "Granny Viewer" to look at them. Granny3D is from Radgametools. Is the part licensed already part of the engine?

Hello. My name is Michael Woodard, but my friends in Recovery call me "Mick." I am 38 years old and I am on Social Security Disability for Mental Health as well as severe Learning Disabilities since childhood. In fact I was put into small classes since 1st grade up to 11th. At about the age of twelve I started a long, slippery slope in the "System" by becoming a client of a Child Pyschologist. For five years I struggled in the working world trying to find a job despite my mental & emotional challenges. I needed therapy & medication so I sought a job to get insurance. When I realized I could get these things without working, I devoted myself to assisting & facilitating others who like me were disabled.

At 20 years of age I learned how to drive. It took me longer because I was stubborn about wearing my glasses until I couldn't see well enough to read what was on  the blackboard from the front row of class even with them on. After five years, on a whim after visiting a Crisis Center I saw an ad for Reach Out Foundation which at the time was located in Morrisville.

Founded in 1996 by Kathy Sharp who retired this summer of 2016 and is now in the capable hands  of the charismatic Douglas Hicks. Mr. Hicks has previously worked as a Correctional Officer and is now the owner of a recovery house in Croydon called "Kingdom House" as well as the new Executive Director of Reach Out Foundation. Kathy is enjoying her life in retirement with her children in Tom's River of New Jersey. Long Live the Queen of RO!

Change can be a vital thing in life. When RO began Kathy met fierce skepticism. "They thought we'd all run around naked and paint ourselves GREEN!" she has told me many times of the old days. They went from the basements of churches to "Upstairs" to "Downstairs" in their spacious Morrisville location to a more modest one in Penndel after many budget cuts. RO now operates hand-to-mouth trying to find funding.

Back to myself. My newest project right now is to design a 3D meeting place for a support group/ drop in center called The Reach Out Foundation which is located in a busy section of Penndel, Pennsylvania of Bucks County. A famous little tidbit of Kathy's that discouraged us "consumers" from treating the place as a dating group was "Two Sickies Don't Make a Welly." How true, how trure. "Reach Out is one of about 30 mental-health drop-in centers across Pennsylvania run by the consumers who use their services. In the past, we were, "Situated in a nondescript strip mall in Morrisville, Reach Out logged about 15,000 visits last year - no appointments needed, no fees charged. Those who are struggling can simply drop in, grab a cup of coffee, and sit in on any of the groups, where the talk centers on such subjects as depression, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, even painting and poetry as palliatives." 

I have come to privately think of those at RO as a "ROFpack" (Pronounced like "Froth" without the F.)  It's a second family. A place where "Everone Knows Your Name" which isn't a bar for goodness sake!

Back in 2007 I videotaped using my trusty VHS-C Panasonic camcorder the interior of our real life meeting place and screenshotted the results for prestige. It is common in the new meeting place to talk about how things were in the old one but it is not the same as being there when it was what it was.

The idea plainly enough is a bunch of pre-rendered backdrops where the walls show off a 2D series of shots depending on what was there in that relative space. I will need to model some couches and chairs to sit in for example. And clicking on a part of the pictures will show a small customizable rememberance gump to show how many people recall that scene and any sentiments they'd like to express seeing it again has for them. The avatars will be in 3D but drab. The attention is given to what each person says rather than what they look like or great exploits of derring do they can perform.

Outside this space and the building is a "Martian" hostile landscape with monsters forged from concepts relating to mental illness or other abusive forces are shown on the field as such.

 I was told to stress that it is a community service environment I want to create. It has a message and the "deluxe version should be playable on a PC within reason. The other side of a coin would be a custom chatroom where the pictures are viewable as 2D images in a basic setting where less powerful computers or mobile platforms will be able to represent the fundementals. Anyway, the chat content will carry over side-by-side no matter using Basic or Deluxe "clients"? Deluxe being from Hero Engine.

It would be interesting if other projects could pay homage to themselves and their themes. Say a barbarian and a mage from game X & Y respectively sat down to talk about how they are irked by the humdrum of PVP trash talk. Or some such.

It will be small simulation. A Multiplayer Online environment, more at a place for hosting support groups, but not Massive.

I asked in the skype room how people felt about the limitations of class between race and gender in games like Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Some one had this to say.

 overall if you have a lore reason then yeah limits can work out or if there is a faction piece maybe. But really depends on type of game you are making, if you are going for a pvp game, then might want to be really flexible on it on terms of racial conflicts. Long story short you don't want people forced to split apart for a long period before the game allows them to join up.

 that way if I have to pick a certain race to play the class I want, it doesn't take long before my best friend and I can join up cause he had to pick a different race / location to play the class he wanted.

when looking at pvp game if it hase "factions" that limit by race, then you run into combat balance problems. If one class / race combo sticks out then that faction will win by a numbers race. And sticks out doesn't mean end up being over powered, could be as simple as they get cool looking spells, or armor vs others.

Any thoughts?

Since my last post was deleted, I'm making this one.

So far I've brainstormed for months about this concept. For some reason I thought up "Martian World Builders" for a project I was ultimately fired from. The concept for that was Earth became ruined in such a degree from another World War's aftermath involving nukes so that the Martians stepped in and reforged everything to reflect a simpler time of warfare. A more honorable one if you would. Some people became classic fantasy non-human races.

This game takes place on Mars. I'm inspired by the classic Warcraft series and also a mechanic from "Messiah" computer game. Another inspiration is Dragon Force. I haven't seen the John Carter movie nor read the books involving Mars.

Don't be looking for Marvin here!

The title is mostly French with the phonetic word for "Destruction" in Arabic. The fb web page is backwards a little because I'm not sure which word comes first. It is either "Earthly Hell" or "Hellish Earth"...?  I don't speak French or anything except English to my detriment.

As I pitched the concept to one person, the dynamic for this game is to collect resources via claiming a vein of ore or a copse of trees. It's going to be more dynamic and involved than most Capture the Flag games....

The idea also is we have specialized Martian war lords who have special astral plane powers and elemental magics. So far I haven't got a team, but am going to try and get help from the Art Department of a local community college.
