don't worry it definitely can do that,.. there is also a simple FPS demo made by HE team that you would have access as soon as owning your Hero License.
But of-course you have to design your game and then implement those features you want.

No,he doesn't need a license if the guy wants to work with you for your game,.. but he does require an account to connect to your world.
To create him an account head to your account management page, then navigate the "Edit My Group" and then select the project you want to give him access ( you might see only one project ) and create him an account with the "Add/Create Accounts" button.. 
In the bottom table you can see accounts that have access to your project and also you can check how many users you can add...

You will give him his account details.. and when he logs in to the HeroEngine account management website he then can download the HeroBlade, Connects to your world,.. and say hi to you inside your world.


Sorry to popping-up such old topic , but is there any news about updates or progress for the new decal system you just mentioned that?

these information is valuable for me,.  but i must step into this process and find more clue in try and catch method.. plus i must see what adjustment range satisfy me, maybe it be a little amount and then it required less works ;)

If anytime i stepped into this, i will update here.

I also agree i don't really need to go with facegen tech just for this. i don't even want players can be able to slide their character height to get 4.23m etc.. instead i want to offer some more practical slots.. so I think i also pick the 2nd option.. while the scale.y is still another approach as well.. but things i want to know..

in Part system option :  what will happen to the bones?  let's say i have parts for tall version and short version of head,body, legs.. they require the skeleton also get scaled related to if it's now tall or now short.. is this possible? am i correct?
Or i basically need entire different dynamic characters for each single height slots?  and must consider them as new race.. like dwarves, humans and elves in many games where dwarves are smaller, humans are normal and elves are taller..

in scale.y option : I have played with it, really easy to implement and save and load it.. but the reason is why i think it's not the proper way, is.. it shrink and stretch the mesh,.  if even we say the minimum and maximum amount will not be too much, but from artists views it looks odd.

I wanted to know what methods are best to make character's height adjustable by player on character creation..
The scale.y can do it, but I'm sure it's not the proper way,..  Let's say i want to let players be able to adjust their character's height from x minimum to y maximum amount.

Hm.. i see,.. looks a good method is this.. 
But the animnone.hgm  means it doesn't require an animation for the bone to rotate yes?
i mean,.. i don't want to animate the bone,.. then ask the script to play x frame of it.. i want the script can separately and entirely rotate the bone, regardless of other animations of the skeleton, which seems your method just does that.

Hello there,..

I was wondering what's best approach  to make character's height slightly adjustable and customizable for players while creating their character :

1 - using skeleton morphing feature.
2 - while only height is adjustable,.. using scale.y variable will be suffice
3 - any other idea? :)
