I recall that inventory.  Everything was a little spinning model of whatever it looked like.  Could even preview basically anything and spin it around with the pop-up window.

Depends on the look you're going for and case by case basis for the texture.  Say sand for instance.  You could do the basic noise filter type deal and get a pretty decent looking sand.  With a bump map included, you could make it look like little waves in there and boosts the realism and cool effect a bit.  Rocky walls, twigs/leaves on grass, uneven mud.......it's the little things ;)

Well, I got rid of the old models anyways, their was like 4 and they were made when I had thought this was all about pirates. I should rename in max, or just name the pictures differently?

You have to rename them (with entirely different names) within max before exporting.

Are the materials named something different?  Not just different folder, but entirely different names as well?

Maybe toss down what process you're doing.  Picking materials and such in 3ds/maya or using the terrain pain texture, or both....etc.

Should be able to just right click somewhere on your desktop, and go to Properties.  Think that's what it was in Vista, been a while.

The Verum Wars at least has a little more originality to it.  If you do want to encompass a more Universe or Space theme, could stick with Forsaken Space or Forsaken Universe.

Maybe even one word, stick with just Verum.  That way your expansions could be Verum: Forsaken Universe.  Verum: Shattered Lands....etc.

The level of personalization in that could be pretty interesting.  I'd love for a boss to shout my name! lol

Recall the old events in SWG where some GM's/Devs/whatever would hop on as actual characters....that was good times.
