As of October 9, 2011, Jobs is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventor in 342 US patents or patent applications related to a range of technologies from actual computer and portable devices to user interfaces (including touch-based), speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages.
On another note he did invent iTunes even down to the color of the buttons claims one of his colleagues. It was looked at as revolutionary because the industry was taking a larger hit in piracy at that time. He reached out and collaborated with to many record companies and artist to form the monster we know as iTunes.
I think a lot really don't understand how much of an inventor he was.
