Salutations everyone!  I am Mike from Forever Interactive where I fulfill the role of Community Manager.

Forever Interactive is a completely virtual and Agile development company based in Wisconsin and was founded in 2006 by our CEO and Creative Director Emil Harmsen.  Since that time Forever Interactive has grown to include more than 60 members in various parts of the U.S. who collaborate together via the Cloud.  We are very excited and enthusiastic about using Hero Engine due to its dynamic on-line interactivity and great creative flexibility.

We are currently creating a game using Hero Engine titled, "Visions of Zosimos" which we will be pleased to show off to you in the near future within the Hero forums.  We also have a mobile apps division currently creating a title called "Battle Gnomes" which we hope to release soon.

A bit about me:
Bachelor of Science, Computer Science - University of Wisconsin-Madison

After graduating I continued studying game development independently as well as through Milwaukee Area Technical College.
I have worked in over 10 programming languages including C/C++, java, and UnrealScript, in addition to developing my own scripting language and IDE.  Engines I have worked with include XNA, Torque, Unity, Unreal, UDK, GameMaker, and most recently, of course, HeroEngine via HeroCloud (yay!).

Prior to joining FI in July, 2009, I was an intern with the Infomation Systems department of the MillerCoors Brewery for 1 year.  There I performed PC installation and maintenance duties, as well as some scripting for automating processes and I migrated their company intranet site to Microsoft SharePoint.  Most importantly, I became exposed to working in a tight-knit tech team with sharply focused deadlines.  The management style I have developed since becoming Lead Programmer was largely shaped by my time at MillerCoors.  Not my drinking habits though; I never did acquire much of a taste for beer.

When not parked in front of my computer, I try to stay in shape and one of my favorite activities is training in Krav Maga self defense.  Not only is it a tremendous workout, but I have found the principles learned from it of identifying the most immediate concern, responding in a proactive way, and never giving up have become a personal philosophy I apply in all aspects of my life, even game development.
