Use can use free stuff with motionbuilder and your kinect as well. No need paying them or truebones for software. Easy enough to use and plenty of youtube vids showing how to use it. I'll have a look through my refuse bin i call a computer and see if i cant find it again. Haven't used it in a while.


Edit: Brekel Kinect is what it is called.

That's true.  However, I'll point out that ipi's solution has a fair amount more tools for ensuring a clean mocap than Brekel.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot building up there.  Just saying, I've been using ipirecorder and find it much easier to get a clean mocap.  And sure, you can clean it up in motionbuilder, etc.  But the less the clean up, the less time spent doing so.

There's a guy on the lightwave forums (greenbar I think, anyhow, a forum search for ipi will bring up the thread) who has pretty much taped the process for use in Lightwave and I'm sure it be much easier to get it into maya from MB.
