This:
Do you have _HotSpotItem glommed onto your _collapsableCategoryItem?

I didn't see this step anywhere in the tutorials, not sure how to do this.

If you open a prototype in the GUI Editor, there is a property called glomClass where you can enter a class name.  Else you can enter it in the xml code, as shown in the _collapsableCategoryItem code I posted previously.

Thanks Scott, I've done everything I can think of but nothing works. It just seems to refuse to rebuild my HotSpot. I think I need the Staff to look under the hood and see if there was a problem with my server install. Some of my GUI prototypes that I make never show up in the GUIXML Organization panel. Now if I can figure out how to contact them :)

If you would be willing to create a dev account for me, PM me about that and I would take a more in-depth look.  I would keep it all confidential, naturally, but I do a lot of work in the GUI system and would have a better idea of what might be happening if I saw it first-hand.

If not, I totally understand.  Their contact address is support@heroengine.com

I have helped a few get setup this way also, by looking at the code and fixing a section or two. There is also a way of viewing the work through use of Skype. They allow for free, the use of a person viewing another person's screen while both are able to talk like they were on the phone.

Scott would be better at this then me, as I have not yet gotten ours to work either.

Thanks both of you. I'll let Scott take a look for now since I don't use Skype. :)

My problem was caused by a small piece of information that the SpecOracle and HotSpot tutorials forgot to mention for us newbies:
When you write a script, you need to compile and submit it to the server using the Script Editor.

Thanks Scott and Thazager, I'm sure you'll be hearing form me very soon with my next problem!
