[Resolved] 3ds max only exports 1 object?
« on: Aug 10, 12, 10:10:38 PM »

I've been trying to export a mesh I created in 3ds max. I've made the materials hero materials and exported it using the hero exporter. However, when I load it into heroblade only 1 small part of the mesh shows up, but the collision for all of it is there.
Any suggestions?

If I understand you correctly, you have either grouped them all together or you have linked them together? You can do multiple meshes but they must be grouped up before exporting or linked.

There are 2 options for you at this point:

1. Group the meshes (go to the "Group" menu on top) -> disadvantaguous is that it will result in more drawcalls.

2. Create an Editable Mesh from one of the objects. Next, go to the Modifier Panel, and select "Attach" under the Edit Geometry header. Now click all the other objects to make them into 1 mesh. This action cannot be reversed so easily as with grouping, so be sure! Attach List if you have a lot of objects and you want to select them by name :)
-> Less drawcalls (1 actually) with this method.
