[Resolved] Help understanding ACCC
« on: Oct 03, 12, 04:05:44 PM »

Hi again, i'm trying to replace the accc system with game specific behaviors but i'm not quite understanding what all files are for so here it is.
what are the main purposes of ACCCClassMethods ACCCClientControlClassMethods and ACCCServerControlMethods both client and server?
I understand that the client should do the animations and ask for permission to the server side scripts that modify the actual data but why there is the need for 3 scripts?
I didn't find any specific information about there, am i missing something? If that's the case just point me to the guide.

ACCCClassMethods is the class for the System Node to factory a specific controller.

ACCController is the class for the controller

The controller will either have a ACCCClientControl or a ACCCServerControl glommed to it for specific functionality depending on whether the character being controlled is controlled from the client input or controlled from the server.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, this shed some light.
I'm going to look more into it and maybe pick up the reference HJ and FPS worlds and see what i come up with.
