[Resolved] framerates.
« on: Nov 04, 12, 01:44:07 PM »

Id like to know how the framerates are worked out between build and play ...

For example, if i get 36 fps while world building on my system in a specific area, what kind of frame rates should i expect to get in the same area when playing the game live eventually ?

is there some kind of formula ? or is play mode automatically "x" frames more on average ?

If i can get some kind of idea on this it will assist greatly in my world building on what FPS to aim for while populating world with terrain and models.

The HeroBlade is like the player client (at least before Sapphire release), only with 16MB less overhead, when in game-mode.

You can expect the client to always be "at least" better than the HeroBlade under the same circumstances.

It is about the same, however loading is faster and more transparent in the client. Also the client uses a little bit less memory. The framerate is pretty the same for both in most cases.
