Anybody Own a Raspberry Pi?
« on: Jan 31, 13, 08:03:37 AM »

They just seem too cute and fun not to own. I haven't even had a linux box in years, but was wondering if anyone had any good war stories about the Raspberry Pi.

Haven't yet, but a lot of cool things going on with lower powered arm stuff right now.  Then again I can get a roku that can do HD for next to nothing as well.

Yes I have had a raspberry pi for quite some time now.

It's currently running XBMC and connected to my TV.

Not a Raspberry Pi, but at work I do get to play around with the PandaBoard and BeagleBoardXM, both ARM dev boards.  I've been looking into the Pi more lately, and we've been thinking of picking one up for experimentation.  There's even a couple out there that support .net, Netduino being a more known one.  The good people at Arduino released an ARM version back in October as well, http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardDue.

I must say though, can't beat $35 for that Raspberry Pi.

Folks here should also check out the Arduino Leonardo, if they are interested in creating a custom controller for their game.
