In a previous area i had created a monorail track with a train. I then added a path with some waypoints. I then added a path follow and parented the train to it. It all worked perfectly, with no drop in performance.
In a new area, with virtually identical draw calls and textures on screen as the first area. I created another monorail and made a path with waypoints and followers. Now when the train is following the path, the FPS drops gradually from my HE max of 170 down to around 20 in about 1 minute.
It does this even when i am facing away from the train and when it is culled totally from sight.
Any ideas on what could be causing this suddenly differing behaviour with essentially the same setup.
