rescaling characters
« on: Sep 22, 13, 02:36:28 PM »

Hi,

is there a way to rescale my models in max (airplanes with approx 14 bones) without having to remove skin modifiers and reapplying them again?

Most likely there is no safe way to rescale your characters without having to remove skin modifiers, reset xform and then reapply skin modifiers again.

This is what i found out.

I know how to set the scale in HE script, but I dont know how in max. If you want to try through scripting, this function will scale models in script: SetNodeScale()

Here is demo showing how https://community.heroengine.com/forums/index.php/topic,4207.msg23375.html#msg23375

I think there are some maxscripts around the web that have that functionality, I suppose. I remember reading something about it.

There is no easy way of doing so, however. Scripts can also just automate processes.
