Not all of us have that option, as you must pay for it.

Skype is free, and you don't need to use the pay services for it. It's just a group chat room dedicated to HE developers basically. Now not sure why you say need to pay for it. Unless it's some odd country rule or such. 

The voice calls aren't used in the HE group and if someone did we might have to burn them at the stake for waking us all up at odd hours. lol j/k

It's a really good tool to use, along with the forums. Cause you can have some back and forth real time, and have a two way discussion. You can do it on the forums, but tends to get a bit slower progression. Often times we will try and post ah ha moments, or hmm how the heck issues. On the forums, so we can share the knowledge.

I also wanted to add that while you might not see a bunch of chat at times, it doesn't mean we aren't there lurking.

Sometimes the chat seems slow or like no one is there but when you ask a question we tend to jump in and help you out. Just some of us are working on systems, so we aren't asking or chatting much.

Kinda comes in waves.

And per standards there are no dumb questions, ask away we all have asked the same questions.
