Genesis Studio is looking for talented People to join our team. Our studio starts its financial campaign on Kickstarter soon and is now looking for its Core Team. We are currently waiting kickstarter to open in the Netherlands before being able to start our crowdfunding. This job will be paid monthly from the end of our kickstarter to campaign.

Genesis: The Birth is an unique Sandbox MMORPG, based on the idea of an emerging and chronologically evolving world, modelled and fully controlled by players. We want to offer a whole empty galaxy that players will have to populate through eras, embodying 4 different civilizations: Tahviins, Senhorrs, Saanirs and Humans.

Since there is no fight and an unlimited number of levels in the game, players will be able to grow socially and have their own house, job or be able to accomplish epic adventures through this 52,500 km² playable area. With time will come new innovations, and with innovations will come new possibilities of expanding a civilization, from the creation of fire to spatial exploration.

With levels comes new social classes, and with new social classes comes new titles and positions, getting more and more important, from a simple citizen to the leader of a planet. Everyone has the same chances, everyone control its destiny and the destiny of their civilization.



• Code game-play features in HSL
• Diagnose and resolve problems to improve the visual aspects of the game and its gameplay
• Integrate new game components (special effects, animations, sounds,) and refine the interaction between these components to achieve interesting gameplay
• Develop and improve various game modules (artificial intelligence, graphics, sound, network, tools)
• Collaborate with the game designers and artists to determine various game constraints and establish best solutions for each element
• Review code written by other team members
• Optimize game code when needed


• Passionate about games
• Great knowledge of the C++ and C# languages
• Fluent in English and/or French
• Organized, self-reliant and a team player


• Familiar with 3D programming
• Familiar with scripting programming
• Experience in the video game industry

3D artist


• Work with other artists and level designers to create geometry, characters, animations, textures, and lighting.
• Communicate with designers, programmers and other members of the art team
• Give input on design issues and provide creative solutions
• Work from concept art or photo reference to create environments, props, characters, architecture and/or vehicles
• Actively seek review and input from other artists, designers, and Art Lead
• Provide accurate time estimates and hit deadlines


• Ability to create both environment and character models
• Artist with a traditional background with environment concepts
• Knowledge of current/next gen techniques (hi-res normal transfer to low-res)
• Must have a strong portfolio of 3D models and/or environments (preferably in Maya, both high- and low- detail)
• Strong knowledge of Maya/Max, Photoshop, and Mudbox/ZBrush
• Excellent texture painting skills
• Collaborative work ethic
• Ability to provide accurate schedule estimates and hit dates

Art Director


• Sets the visual direction for content in the game.
• Is responsible for creating visual targets and maintaining the look and feel of all content within the game.
• Maintains the visual integrity throughout the entire project ensuring consistency and highest quality.
• Manages the creation of art developed both internally and by third parties.
• Develops and ensure quality assurance protocols for art work.
Has advanced understanding of character, prop, world, and animation creation and can demonstrate/direct how these visually serve the gameplay, narrative, design and existing IP of the projects.
• Establishes quality and style expectations from a consumer point of view.
Proactively ensures the style supports the target demographic and consumer expectations.
• Responsible for critiquing content effectively.
• Able to build confidence both within the team and with partners though effective and inspiring communication.
• Able to mentor and grow lead artists.
• Provides direction and influences process with respect to legal aspects of asset creation.
• Uses time effectively.


• Experience — Experience in making games and to work efficiently.

Lead Programmer


• Determine the technical needs and requirements for the team.
• Liaise with internal and external middleware technology providers, and console manufacturers.
• Work with production, engineers, design and art team leads to create task estimates and schedules for the engineering team and track development efforts across the team.
• Balance active code development with the management requirements and responsibilities of a discipline lead.
• Ensure the delivery of practical and timely solutions by the engineering team that meets the game design and technical requirements.
• Ensure code is modular, self-contained, and defensive and observes the technical constraints on the system by leading regular technical design and code reviews.
• Define good programming practices and coding standards, and ensure they are enforced within the engineering team through regular peer code reviews.
• Ensure the creation of technical documentation for the engineering team as well as other disciplines, and assist in the creation of submission materials as required.
• Continually review the game and development processes to identify potential improvements.
• Mentor, manage and regularly review individuals to build a cohesive and effective team.


• Passionate about playing and making games, and has a good knowledge of the games industry in general.
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills, with excellent knowledge of object oriented development.
• Familiarity with common scheduling, task and issue tracking tools – MS Project, Jira etc…
• Able to create, manage and track schedules for a team of engineers.
• Self-motivated and pro-active with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of most areas of game development (physics, AI, gameplay, rendering, online, tools, UI, audio) with expertise in at least 1 area.
• Able to analyze unfamiliar code of a reasonable complexity to understand and extend the functionality of an existing module.
• Has knowledge of different software development methods such as Test Driven Development, Unit Testing, Agile etc…
• Proven ability to debug defects of a significant complexity, including memory related issues, multi-threading, and assembly level debugging.
