GUIs - alpha channels

I noticed the alpha channels have changed, as one of our GUIs that used them no longer shows the way its supposed. The minimap works with the alpha channel as its texture field has MINIMAP in it, but a similar gui using the same alpha channel does not work as it has no texture (it does in the alpha texture).

My question is, does the panel that uses an alpha channel, now require a texture in the main texture field, in order to use the alpha channel texture also?

Yes, it now requires a texture in the main part of the GUI, where before it did not. I have the alphas working.

This seems to also keep other parts from performing correctly. Because the color in the defaultStatePresentation no longer matters, as it is not recognized.
