Happy New Year!

We are still here.

Still working on the clan/siege/city/town system but recently implemented a topmenu GUI that links to all the GUI's.

The terrain is pretty basic on purpose. I intend to have lots of players in a single area all trying to siege the same place.

While i have other Biomes I have decided to test with the desert one first to keep assets simple.

I have my areas already built out up to my C circle but I will be starting off with these two areas. (A1 and B3)

You can barely see a few houses that I have already built in the world via my housing system. 2 obvious ones in the upper left area alogn the road and in the large circle.

Did you get that top down view just by using the fly mode camera?

Developer Video:

here is a quick video showcasing a working dynamic character with dynamic texture banks.
I am using the dynamic item visualization system from the hjref and modified it to work with my character and set up.
As well there were some really weird methods/functions in the system that I had to clean up.

Video shows me removing then re-equipping my chest, leggings and gloves.
I then open the character manager to showcase the dbanks working on the beard.
All assets are placeholders so enjoy the rainbow beard :P

One of my last base game play systems is the crafting recipe system.

My system is built using the specoracle system.

This is a straight forward crafting system. You will need certain skills(CRSkillRequired) and items(CRIngredient) in order to craft the item.

Here is a high level overview of my database for my crafting system:

Recipes will require ingredients and certain skill sets to create.

The individual skills required will store the creation variables while the Ingredients will store a quantities, items needed, and their individual chance to be lost due to a failure based on the difficulty generated by CRSkillsRequired.

Note: The one thing not shown in the image is the output item which will be stored as "ItemToCreateSpecKey" under CraftingRecipe.

I have created a public Discord channel for the game now.

Feel free to add it if you wish to see more in depth discussion about the game.

Discord is amazing! I was blown away the first time I used it and have not gone back to any other chat applications since. I dont even use steam messenger or have any VOIP applications installed anymore like Vent or TeamSpeak! o god.

If they would change the name from Discord to something less juvenile I would be more impressed. :)
It's not a bad app though.
