I am somewhat new to HE and am starting a new world with some others and am used to using Gradient for building maps for CoD. What i am wondering when adding textures to a new structure that we are building, 1) is there a way to just choose just a single side of the object to texture, 2) Is there a way to manipulate the texture as to for example stretch, shrink, or repeat it to make it fit on a surface?

   I would appreciate any help or directions to a tutorial that can guide me in the right directions. Thank you..

Not really possible inengine. You can swap textures using the material editor thats about it at this time.

You will want to do all the modelling work in your chosen modelling program. I suggest max/maya.
