Texture Painting

Stupid Question:
I'm texture painting some steps. How do I rotate the texture to a different direction?
I can't seem to rotate the texture brush.

Are you texture painting in HeroEngine itself or a pant program?

Either way, if you know how to create custom brushes, you can make a brush with the texture rotated. I don't know the exact steps though.

Amarak has the key there... is this concerning the terrain editor in HE Blade?

If so, the only method "that i know of" is to upload a rotated version of the texture and use it when the direction needs to change.

Yes. This is in the Terrain Painting Tab in the Terrain Editor in HE. I tried switching the angle to compensate but it doesn't tile correctly. I would assume that the Terrain Brush was rotate-able?

I did find a way to rotate the brush, but it doesn't really do much. There is no way to have the texture rotate and it not mess up the tiling.

The only way to do it as far as I know is to rotate and save the texture in an image editing program, then re-upload it to the repository browser.

The brush in Terrain Editor cannot be rotated no.

If you MUST create something like steps from the terrain, then you should ensure the steps are facing N/S/E/W as close as possible (to one of them), and then upload your rotated textures.   either a 45 or 90 degree texture rotation will always fit a N/S/E/W direction.
