Open DOM on login
« on: Jun 14, 16, 06:48:35 PM »

When logging in, I found the client DOM open. Is it supposed to be this way? (even though it was closed before log out.)

I believe that is normal for panels that are not docked to the main window, as you have there.

I personally keep the main window only having the viewport on it, and all of the panels I commonly use are separate from it (though docked to each other) on a second monitor. Because they are not connected to the main window, I also find they are open when I am entering the world, which is what I want anyways.

I imagine if you docked the DOM editor back into the main window and closed it, it probably would remain closed upon logging in.

Ok, thanks. I usually just click the X in upper right of the DOM, before exiting. Though now I can see it (the DOM) start up even before the editor opens. Its the 1st thing to show on screen. But with only 1 monitor, blocks view.

Hmm, before log out last night. I opened the client DOM then docked it on the left and clicked it closed. Today upon starting the editor, DOM shows up before the editor, and still open and blank before any log in.

Thazager, I can repro this error, but don't sure...

I just set "read only" param on uilayout.xml in users\user\AppData\Local\HeroBladeHC004 and DOM editor shows up even if I close it before exit.

So, I think you have problem with this file? Maybe you setup some kind of protecting software, which undo changing of file in system folders? Or something like this...

Thanks, I found it in that file.       uilayout.xml ---> users\user\AppData\Local\HeroBladeHC00

<ToolForm2 Name="Client DOM Editor" X="58" Y="18" Width="646" Height="937" Screen="\\.\DISPLAY1" Dock="Fill" ParentIndex="-1" PanelCount="1" Panel0="DOMEditorClient" />

Looks like I might have saved the UI file with the client DOM open.
