So I'm sure most everyone here remembers our sometimes controversial Homunculus character. The feedback we had gotten from the team at Hero as well as other people throughout the last year or so had left us with a choice to make - and we made it. While the Homunculus is still around, we plan on making numerous different "types" of homunculus characters for players to choose from. While I can't release more details on that quite yet, I can show you the newer direction we have taken the initial core Homunculus, and some insight into some still in production looks at the overall direction we are going with this character.

So one of the major concerns we received from people who had seen the previous character was that it looked too zombie, which was a combination of the design we had for him as well as the animations we had used for him. I am pleased to announce this newly designed character. We tried to remove the zombie appearance in his overall design, and a part of that will be a new set of animations based on which Ego Essence card you attach to the character during the creation process. We will have more to show on that soon, but as an example there will be roughly 4-5 different animation sets for these characters based on the "Ego" which possess them, ie if you attach Vlad Tepes' card to him, his animations will represent an aggressive style, whereas attaching Beowulf's card will be represented with a more heroic style of animation.
This image shown is merely the base of the character. As a player levels up, they have more options and cards which they can attach to the character, ultimately giving them a different appearance. Below is an WIP example of the progression the character could take if you attach fire based cards to him.
